Andy Crisafulli
has returned to Rhode Island College for his second stint as an
assistant baseball coach. |

“I am
excited to return as an assistant baseball coach at Rhode Island
College,” Crisafulli said. “I look forward to working with Coach
Virgulak and Coach Bergeron in a coordinated effort to continue
building the baseball program. |
|
|
|
Crisafulli held the position of pitching coach and recruiting
coordinator for the Anchormen from 2004-08 under previous Head
Coach Jay Grenier. He will resume the position of pitching coach
and assist Head Coach Scott Virgulak with recruiting, scouting,
administering practices and game coaching. |
|
|
|

|
Crisafulli departed RIC after the 2008 season to accept the head
varsity baseball coach’s position at Portsmouth (RI) High
School. During the 2009 campaign, Crisafulli led Portsmouth to a
21-5 overall record and a Rhode Island Division I East
Championship. |
|
|
|
Prior
to joining the RIC staff in 2004, Crisafulli was the head coach
of the Swansea (MA) American Legion and the Bay States Games’
Western Massachusetts squad. |
|
|
|
In addition to his coaching duties, Crisafulli is a health
education teacher at Joseph Case Junior High School in Swansea,
Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical
education from Bridgewater State in 2000 and is currently
pursuing his master’s degree in health education at Cambridge
College. |

|
A native of Swansea and a graduate of Joseph Case High School,
Crisafulli went on to accept a baseball scholarship to
Quinnipiac University, where as a freshman in 1996 was named the
Northeast 10’s Pitcher of the Week on two occasions. |
|
|
|
A shoulder injury forced him to miss the entire 1997 season
before transferring to Bridgewater State for his final years of
eligibility. At BSC, Crisafulli guided the Bears to a pair of
MASCAC titles and pitched in two NCAA Div. III New England
Regional Championships. |

Crisafulli
resides in Fall River, Massachusetts with his wife Sylienne and
their children Gwenyth and Carson. |
