COLONIALS DEFEAT RIC, 16-2

            Providence, RI—Lauren Scott’s game-high four goals paced Western Connecticut as the Colonials downed Rhode Island College, 16-2, in collegiate women’s lacrosse action. WCSU improves to 6-8 overall and 4-1 in the Little East Conference.

 

The Colonials’ Meaghan Willis chipped in with a goal and three assists. Jennifer Kull and Jillian Brown each scored three goals. Melissa Perry made 14 saves to earn the win in net.

 

Amanda Hutchins and Danielle Egan each scored goals, and Crystal Colagiovanni made 21 saves, as RIC falls to 3-9 overall and 0-5 in the LEC.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will host UMass-Dartmouth on Monday, Apr. 28 at 4 p.m.
