NOTES

Providence, RIAmanda Steere (Pascoag, RI) scored the lone goal to lift Rhode Island College to a 1-0 win over Framingham State College in women’s soccer.

RIC goalkeeper Melissa Carpentier (Woonsocket, RI) had five saves to record her fourth shutout of the season. Four of the five Anchorwomen victories have been shutouts.

The win helps RIC improve to 5-4 on the season, while the loss drops the Rams to 3-4 on the year.

In upcoming action, RIC will host UMass-Boston on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
