Rhode Island College Menís Cross Country Update #5

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jacksonís team finished 15th (27 teams) at the James Early Invitational with a score of 386. Tufts won the event with a team score of 72.

 

Junior Misha Knuettel (Warwick, RI) finished ninth with a time 25:44. Knuettel tied the fifth-best time in RIC history at the James Early Invitational.

 

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) finished 50th with a time of 27:18.

 

Senior Mike Daniels (Warwick, RI) finished 115th with a time of 28:41.

 

Junior Mike Basilico (Johnston, RI) finished 118th with a time of 28:45.

 

Sophomore Matt Faria (Seekonk, MA) finished 181st with a time of 30:04.

 

Freshman Derek Freitas (North Kingstown, RI) finished 236th with a time 31:41.

 

Senior Brian Carney (Barrington, RI) finished 295th with a time of 38:27.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will compete at the LEC/MASCAC Alliance Championship, hosted by Keene State, on Nov. 2.
