Rhode Island College Menís Cross Country Update #6

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jacksonís team finished eighth (ten teams) with a score of 171.0 and fifth in the Little East (five teams) with a score of 112.0 at the 2002 Little East /MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted by Keene State on Saturday, Nov. 2. Keene State captured both the Alliance and Little East crowns with a score of 15.0

 

Junior Misha Knuettel (Warwick, RI) earned All-Alliance honors, placing tenth overall with a time 27:00.

 

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) finished 24th with a time of 27:47.

 

Freshman Emmanuel Karngar (Providence, RI) finished 54th with a time of 29:13.

 

Senior Mike Daniels (Warwick, RI) finished 56th with a time of 29:16.

 

Junior Mike Basilico (Johnston, RI) finished 62nd with a time of 29:41.

 

Sophomore Matt Faria (Seekonk, MA) finished 64th with a time of 29:45.

 

Sophomore Josh Precourt (Woonsocket, RI) finished 94th with a time of 31:53

 

Freshman Derek Freitas (North Kingstown, RI) finished 97th with a time 32:08.

 

Senior Brian Carney (Barrington, RI) finished 107th with a time of 37:18.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will compete at the 2002 ECAC Division III Championships on Saturday, Nov. 9.
