White Helps RIC Continue Home Cooking

Providence, RIóJohnafer White scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Rhode Island College to an 83-70 victory over Bridgewater State in menís college basketball action.

The win helps RIC stay undefeated at home and extends the teamís winning streak to six games, the longest in 13 years (1989-90).

The Anchormen had six players score in double figures led by White. Andre Daley chipped in with 14 points and Lester Carter, Kamran Alemdar, K.C. Grandfield, and Jason Harris each scored 10 points as RIC improved to 8-3 on the season.

Matt Badiali led Bridgewater state with 17 points in a losing effort. The Bears drop to 4-6 on the season.

In upcoming action, RIC will play at Keene State on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m.
