Cantarella Named 
Head Athletic Trainer
at Rhode Island College

 

Providence, RIóRhode Island College named Carlo Cantarella as its Head Athletic Trainer. "I am extremely excited to join the athletic staff at Rhode Island College," Cantarella says. "I am looking forward to being back in a college setting and working with RICís student-athletes."

 

Cantarella has been an athletic trainer with South County Orthopedics & Physical Therapy since the fall of 2000. He was the Head Athletic Trainer at Bryant College from 1998-00. Cantarella was the Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Rhode Island from 1995-98 and an Assistant Athletic Trainer at URI from 1992-95.

 

He earned a Master of Science degree in exercise and sport sciences from the University of Florida in 1992. He served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Gators from 1990-92. Cantarella earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from the State University of New York at Cortland in 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in building construction and contracting from Purdue University in 1983.

 

A native of Wappingers Falls, New York, Cantarella currently resides in West Kingston, Rhode Island with his wife April and their children: Felicia (12), Alexander (10), Carlo (2) and Corey (1).
