UMass-Dartmouth Downs RIC, 52-49

Providence, RI—Corsair forward Amy Satkevich scored 21 points and hauled in 13 rebounds to lead UMass-Dartmouth past Rhode Island College, 52-49, in women’s collegiate basketball action.

UMD forward Maura Armstrong chipped in with 11 points and 20 rebounds to help the Corsairs improve to 4-13 overall and 1-7 in the Little East Conference.

RIC guard Angela Sarette had 16 points and eight rebounds in the losing effort. RIC guard Liz Barrette grabbed 14 rebounds off the bench, the most for a RIC cager this season.

The loss drops the Anchorwomen to 2-15 overall and 1-7 in the LEC.

In upcoming action, RIC will play at UMass-Boston on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
