Rhode Island College Women’s Basketball Update #11

(3-20 Overall, 1-11 in the Little East Conference)

 

Providence, RI--Head Coach Mike Kelley’s team is 3-20 overall and 1-11 in the Little East Conference. In last week’s action, RIC fell to Western Connecticut, 58-50, on Feb. 11 and to Southern Maine, 64-49, on Feb. 15.

 

Junior guard Angela Sarette (Putnam, CT) has played in 21 games, starting all of them. She is averaging 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game.

 

Junior forward Liz Shields (Warwick, RI) has played in 22 games, starting all of them. She is averaging 12.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game.

 

Junior guard Abby Ferri (Greene, RI) has played in 23 games, starting all of them. She is averaging 9.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals per game.

 

Sophomore forward Becca Bissonnette (Danielson, CT) has played in 23 games, starting all of them. She is averaging 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

 

 

Freshman forward Liz Barrette (North Providence, RI) has played in 23 games. She is averaging 3.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

 

Freshman forward Stacy Archambault (Woonsocket, RI) has played in 23 games, starting 19 of them. She is averaging 2.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

 

Senior guard Alicia Hersperger (Providence, RI) has played in 23 games, starting four of them. She is averaging 1.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.

 

Freshman guard Lynn Bertherman (Slatersville, RI) has played in 22 games. She is averaging 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.

 

Freshman forward Betsy Bliven (Charlestown, RI) has played in 17 games, starting three of them. She is averaging 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Bliven recently underwent knee surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

 

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will play at UMass-Dartmouth on Feb. 18 before traveling to Plymouth State on Feb. 22 to close out the regular season. The 2003 Little East Conference Tournament begins on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
