Ginolfi and Ferrara to Captain
Rhode Island College Menís Golf

 

Providence, RIóRhode Island College juniors Ken Ferrara (North Providence, RI) and John Ginolfi (Warwick, RI) will captain the menís golf team for the 2002-03 season.

 

Ferrara shot the squadís lowest score (80) in RICís tri-match vs. Newbury and Johnson & Wales on Sept. 20. As a sophomore during the spring 2002 campaign, Ferrara led the team with an average score of 85.8 in the teamís six meets and was named the squadís MVP. He shot a season-low score of 79 in the teamís first meet of the season against Nichols College.

 

He is a management major and a 2000 graduate of North Providence High School.

 

Ginolfi shot the teamís second-lowest score (86) in RICís tri-match vs. Newbury and Johnson & Wales on Sept. 20. As a junior during the spring 2002 campaign, Ginolfi averaged a score of 94.3 in teamís six meets. Ginolfi shot a season-low score of 85 in the teamís final meet of the season against Salve Regina University.

 

He is a business management major and a 1998 graduate of Toll Gate High School.

 

The Anchormen are 1-1 on the season. Head Coach John Fittaís team recorded a score of 344 vs. Johnson & Wales and Newbury on Sept. 20. JWU won the tri-meet with a score of 340, four strokes better than RIC. Newbury recorded a team score of 407.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will host Wentworth on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
