Update #1

(1-4 Overall; 0-0 in the Little East Conference)

 

Providence, RI--Head Coach Craig Letourneau’s Anchorwomen are 1-4 overall and have yet to play a Little East Conference match. RIC opened the season with four consecutive losses, but rebounded with a victory at WPI, 3-1, on Monday, Sept. 15.

 

Junior middle hitter Erica Poirier (Woonsocket, RI) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has 24 kills (1.333/game), a .073 hitting percentage, three service aces (0.167/game), 12 digs (0.667/game), and five blocks (0.278/game).

 

Sophomore outside hitter Sara Chamberland (Coventry, RI) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has 14 kills (0.778/game), a –.020 hitting percentage, three assists (0.167/game), six service aces (0.333/game), 21 digs (1.167/game), and five blocks (0.278/game).

 

Sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Wojciechowski (North Kingstown, RI) has played in 14 games in four matches. She has 11 kills (0.786/game), a .116 hitting percentage, two assists (0.143/game), 12 service aces (0.857/game), and 27 digs (1.929/game).

 

Freshman middle hitter Kari Geisler (Derry, NH) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has 41 kills (2.278/game), a .286 hitting percentage, 22 service aces (1.222/game), 17 digs (0.944/game), and six blocks (0.333/game).

 

Freshman middle hitter Erin Miga (Cranston, RI) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has 37 kills (2.056/game), a .333 hitting percentage, nine service aces (0.500/game), 16 digs (0.889/game), and 11 blocks (0.611/game).

 

Freshman setter Kara Sarcione (Londonderry, NH) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has 10 kills (0.556/game), a .273 hitting percentage, 102 assists (5.667/game), five service aces (0.278/game), 15 digs (0.833/game), and four blocks (0.222/game).

 

Freshman outside hitter Julie Seitsinger (North Kingstown, RI) has played in 18 games in five matches. She has nine kills (0.500/game), a .138 hitting percentage, six service aces (0.333/game), 15 digs (0.833/game), and one block (0.056/game).

 

In upcoming action, RIC will participate in the Little East Round Robin, hosted by UMass-Boston, on Friday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20.
