Josh Precourt Named
Men's Outdoor Track and Field MVP

 

Providence, RI--The Rhode Island College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation held its annual Spring Banquet at RICís Donovan Dining Center on Monday, May 3 to honor those student-athletes who participate in varsity spring athletics. Junior Josh Precourt (Woonsocket, RI) was named the men's outdoor track and field team's MVP.

 

 He placed 19th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.04 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on May 1. He earned All-Alliance/Little East honors in four events at the LEC/MASCAC Alliance Championships on Apr. 24. He placed seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 52.81, fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.11, eighth as a part of the 4x100 meter relay team with a time of 46.30 and fourth as a part of the 4x400 meter relay team with a time of 3:29.35.

 

He is an elementary education major and a 2000 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
