Rhode Island College to Host Softball Hitting,
Pre-Season and Pitching/Catching Clinics in January

 

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College will host four softball clinics at its Recreation Center during the month of January 2004.

 

Under the direction of RIC Head Softball Coach Maria Morin, the Pitching/Catching Clinic will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 1-5 p.m. The clinic is for girls’ ages 10-17. Campers will receive instruction on catching or pitching. There are two instruction levels for pitchers: beginner or intermediate/advanced. The cost is $60. Registration will begin at noon.

 

There are two Hitting Clinic sessions. They will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 1-5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The clinics are for girls’ ages 10-17 and the cost for each session $60. Registration will begin at noon.

 

The Softball MVP Skills Clinic will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 1-5 p.m. The clinic is for girls’ ages 10-17. Campers will receive instruction on the techniques of throwing, fielding, base running and agility skills to prepare for the season. The cost is $60. Registration will begin at noon.
