Meghan Mooney and Audrey Davis Earn
Little East Womenís Tennis Weekly Honors
for Second Time This Season

 

Providence, RIóRhode Island College senior Meghan Mooney (North Scituate, RI) and freshman Audrey Davis (Stroudsburg, PA) helped the Anchorwomen to a perfect 4-0 week and earned Little East Conference weekly honors in womenís tennis.

 

Mooney was named the Little East Conference Womenís Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season. She went 4-0 for the week at number two singles and at number one doubles. She is 9-3 (.750) at number two singles and 7-4 (.636) at number one doubles for 12.5 points on the season.

 

She is a communications major and a 2001 graduate of Scituate High School.

 

Davis was the Little East Conference Womenís Tennis Rookie of the Week. Davis went 4-0 at number three singles and 2-1 at number two doubles for the Anchorwomen. Davis is 11-0 (1.000) in singles and 7-3 (.700) in doubles for a team high 14.5 points on the season.

 

She is a business management major and a 2001 graduate of Stroudsburg High School.

 

Head Coach Kelly Chartierís Anchorwomen are 12-0 overall and 6-0 in the Little East Conference. The Anchorwomen had four matches last week, and kept their perfect record intact by winning all of them. RIC defeated Wentworth, 6-3, Bridgewater State, 6-3, Clark, 7-2, and UMass-Dartmouth, 9-0.
