2004 Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball Tournament Set for Friday and Saturday
at Rhode Island College

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College will host the 2004 Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball Tournament semi-final and finals match on Friday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov. 6. Rhode Island College earned the top seed in the tournament after posting a 17-15 overall record and a 5-2 mark against LEC competition during the regular season.

 

There was a four-way tie for first, with Western Connecticut, Plymouth State, Eastern Connecticut and RIC all posting equal marks in conference play. RIC beat WCSU and PSU head-to-head and owned tie-breakers over ECSU. All four teams in the finals posted identical 5-2 records in the Little East this season.

Second-seeded Western Connecticut, which had a bye in the first round, will play third-seeded Plymouth State in a semi-final match on Friday, Nov. 5 at 5:30 p.m. PSU defeated sixth-seeded Keene State, 3-0, on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Top-seeded Rhode Island College will host fourth-seeded Eastern Connecticut in a semi-final match on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ECSU defeated fifth-seeded UMass-Dartmouth, 3-0, on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Live Stats
