ROSEN AND GEISLER K.O. OWLS, 66-58

            Providence, RI—Rhode Island College sophomores Brittany Rosen (Derry, NH) and Kari Geisler (Deerfield, NH) both posted double-doubles to lead the Anchorwomen to a, 66-58, victory over Westfield State College on Thursday evening.

 

Rosen grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds, scored 16 points and made a game-high five steals. Her 20 boards are tied for the third-most in a game in RIC women’s basketball history. Geisler scored a game-high 21 points to go along with her 13 boards. Freshman Josalee Danieli (New Gloucester, ME) added ten points, five boards, two assists and two steals.

 

The Owls were led by junior Amanda Chapin (Westfield, MA) who posted a double-double of her own with 14 points and 17 rebounds.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will play at Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. The Anchorwomen will be off for finals and the holidays before resuming the season at the Naismith Basketball Tournament, hosted by Springfield College, on Jan. 2-3.
