Andre Daley and Jason Harris to Captain
Rhode Island College Menís Basketball

Providence, RIóRhode Island College seniors Andre Daley (Boston, MA) and Jason Harris (Bedford, MA) will captain the menís basketball team for the 2004-05 season.

 

Daley, a guard, has played in nine games, starting all of them, this season. He is averaging 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals on the season. He was a redshirt in the Anchormenís 2003-04 campaign. In his junior season in 2002-03, Daley played in 25 games, starting 22 of them. He averaged 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He registered season-highs of 21 points vs. Eastern Connecticut, eight rebounds vs. St. Josephís (NY), ten assists vs. Keene State and six steals vs. Newbury. 

 

He is a philosophy major with a minor in sociology and a 2000 graduate of Madison Park High School.

 

Harris, a forward, has played in nine games, starting all of them, this season. He is averaging 10.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Last season, Harris played in 16 games, starting three of them. He averaged 8.9 points and a team-best 6.7 rebounds per game. Harris registered season-highs of 21 points vs. Southern Maine, 12 rebounds vs. Plymouth State, three assists vs. Western Connecticut and three steals vs. UMass-Dartmouth.

 

He is a justice studies major, and a 2001 graduate of the Bedford High School.

 

 Head Coach Jack Perriís team is 6-3 overall and 1-1 record in Little East Conference thus far this winter. RIC is off for finals and the holidays and will resume the season on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. when the Anchormen will host Bridgewater State.
