Rhode Island College Women’s Gymnastics Update #2

(0-8 Overall; 0-5 in the ECAC)

Providence, RI--Head Coach Bob Nannig’s team is 0-8 on the season and 0-5 against Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III opposition.

Anchorwomen Notables

• The Anchorwomen posted their highest team score of the season in a 189.075-175.425 loss at the University of Rhode Island on Feb. 2. Freshman Debbie Granara (Malden, MA) tied the third-highest vault score in RIC history with a career-high 9.600 mark on that event. Junior Hannah Scott (Deep River, CT) and freshman Breanna Moroney (Metuchen, NJ) placed third and fourth, respectively, in the all-around with scores of 35.275 and 34.400 at the meet.

• The Anchorwomen finished last at a quad-meet, hosted by Brown, on Jan. 29. RIC posted a team score of 171.200. Brown registered a score of 181.900, Ithaca 181.075 and M.I.T. 176.650. Moroney and Scott registered all-around scores of 34.050 and 34.125, respectively.

• RIC lost to Springfield, 176.725-171.175 on Jan. 28. Moroney placed first in the all-around (35.000) and second on vault (9.225). Powers placed second on beam (9.050). Scott was second in the all-around (34.300).
