ANCHORWOMEN WIN 10th STRAIGHT IN, 7-2, VICTORY

Providence, RIóRhode Island College upped its record to 10-1 with its tenth consecutive victory in a 7-2 win over Clark University on Thursday afternoon. Despite dropping bouts at both number one singles and doubles, the Anchorwomen swept the remainder of matches to hand Clark its eighth (0-8) loss of the year.

Senior Tara Marchant (North Scituate, RI) and freshman Jaclyn Eastman (Mansfield, MA) won at number three and four singles, respectively, and combined to win at number two doubles. Freshman Julie Bannon (Narragansett, RI) upped her singles record to 11-0 and her doubles mark to 12-1.

In upcoming action, RIC will play at Little East Conference rival Plymouth State on Saturday, Oct. 7.
