Rhode Island College Women’s Gymnastics
Drops Two at Ithaca Invitational

Ithaca, NY—The Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics fell to Southern Connecticut, 182.225-170.125, and to host Ithaca, 185.500-170.125, at a tri-meet hosted by the Bombers on Saturday afternoon.


Sophomore Breanna Moroney (Metuchen, NJ) placed fourth overall  in the all-around with a combined score of 34.625. She recorded scores of 8.875 on vault, 8.050 on bars, 8.450 on beam and 9.250 on floor. She led RIC on vault and floor.


Senior Megan Joseph (Hope, RI) tied for ninth on beam with a team-high score of 8.900 on that event.


Junior Melissa Demirjian (Warwick, RI) was fifth overall in the all-around with scores of 8.400 on vault, 8.150 on bars, 8.850 on beam and 8.675 on floor for a combined mark of 34.075.


Freshman Elizabeth Ann Glunt (Altoona, PA) was sixth overall in the all-around with scores of 8.650 on vault,  8.150 on bars, 8.550 on beam and 8.550 on floor for a combined total of 33.900. Glunt and Demirjian led the team on bars.


Head Coach Bob Nannigs team is 0-14 overall and 0-8 against ECAC Div. III competition.
