RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE MENíS CROSS COUNTRY
PLACES TAKES EIGHTH OVERALL AND FOURTH
IN THE LITTLE EAST AT ALLIANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

 

North Dartmouth, MA Ė The Rhode Island College menís cross country team placed eighth overall (13 teams) and fourth (six teams) in the Little East with scores of 229 and 118, respectively, at the 2007 Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Championships on Saturday afternoon hosted by UMass Dartmouth.

 

Freshman Cesar Smith (Bristol, RI) placed 30th (144 runners) overall with a time of 26:50. Freshman Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 34th with a time of 27:07. Junior Greg Ahnrud (Chepachet, RI) placed 56th with a time of 28:15. Senior Mike Van Gieson (Foster, RI) placed 81st with a time of 29:12. Junior David Simpson (West Warwick, RI) placed 85th with a time of 29:16. Junior Hunter Stewart (Foster, RI) placed 109th with a time of 30:37. Freshman Chanthoeun Yin (Attleboro, MA) placed 112th with a time of 31:08, while Senior Greg Clark (Pawtucket, RI) placed 136th with a time of 33:17.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Div. III Championships, hosted by Williams on Saturday, Nov. 3.
