KAYLA DiBlASI NAMED LITTLE EAST
WOMEN’S TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

 

 

 

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College freshman Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women’s Track and Field Rookie of the Week for her performance at the LEC/MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted by RIC on Saturday, Apr. 26.

 

 

 

 

It is the second consecutive week DiBlasi has received this honor. She earned All-Alliance/Little East honors in the 400 and 100 meter hurdles, placing first and fourth, respectively, with times of 17.08 and 67.26, as well as the 4x400 meter relay, which placed third with a time of 4:20.25.

 

Rhode Island College placed fifth overall (12 teams) at the 2008 Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Outdoor Women’s Track and Field Championships with a team score of 82.5 The Anchorwomen placed fourth (six teams) among Little East Conference institutions with a score of 100.0
