RIC improves to 5-3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Little East, while the Corsairs fall to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in league play. After opening the season with an 0-3 mark, the Anchormen have posted a 5-0-2 record.

Diogo’s cross struck UMD junior defender Alex Bettencourt (New Bedford, MA) and deflected into the net to give the Anchormen an advantage they would not relinquish. The Corsairs had several chances, but were unable to put a shot past RIC freshman goalkeeper Justin O’Connor (North Kingstown, RI).

The Corsairs out shot RIC, 13-8. Freshman goalkeeper Anel Brkic (Milton, MA) made three saves for UMass Dartmouth, while O’Connor made five for the Anchormen.

O’Connor has not allowed a goal over the past 311:25 of action. He is 3-0-1 in the club’s last four games and has notched three straight shutouts.
