BRANDON MIGLIORE NAMED ECAC
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, RIó Rhode Island College senior midfielder Brandon Migliore (Coventry, RI) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Div. III Menís Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in two games.

 

 

 

Migliore, who was also the Little East Conferenceís Offensive Player of the Week, netted three goals for six points to lead Rhode Island College to a 2-0 mark this past week. He scored each of the Anchormenís markers, including the game-winner, as Rhode Island College remained unbeaten in the Little East (5-0-1) with a 2-1 overtime upset of No. 13 Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 25. Earlier in the week, he registered a goal in a 4-1 victory over Westfield State on Wednesday, Oct. 22. For the season, he has played in 15 games, starting nine of them. Migliore has four goals and three assists for 11 points.

 

Head Coach John Melloís team is currently 10-4-3 overall and 5-0-1 (first place) in the Little East Conference. RIC can capture its first-ever Little East Conference Regular Season Championship with a win or a tie at Southern Maine this Saturday.

 

In upcoming action, the Anchormen will play at Amherst on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
