TOWLE LEADS WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
AS RIC PLACES 35th AT N.E. NCAA QUALIFIER

 

Williamstown, MA—The Rhode Island College women’s cross country team wrapped up the 2008 season, placing 35th (49 teams) with a score of 1,011 at the New England NCAA Div. III NCAA Qualifier, hosted by Williams on Saturday afternoon. Middlebury won the meet with a score of 57.

 

 

 

Freshman Jacqueline Towle (Swanzey, NH) was RIC’s top runner, placing 176th with a time of 27:08.8.

Sophomore Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 198th with a time of 27:36.8. Junior Ashley Guimond (Sterling, CT) placed 205th with a time of 27:48.6. Sophomore Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 220th with a time of 28:11.1. Sophomore Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 221st with a time of 28:11.9. Sophomore Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 249th with a time of 29:12.2. Freshman Justyna Barlow (Foster, RI) placed 251st with a time of 29:18.4.
