PERRIN NAMED ECAC N.E. SOFTBALL
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, RI-The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Rhode Island College junior right fielder Michelle Perrin (Saugus, MA) as the New England Div. III Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Mitchellís Sara Krolikowski

 

 

 

Perrin, who also was named the Little East Conference Softball Player of the Week, was white-hot from the dish this past week, registering a .632 batting average (12-for-19) with six runs scored, nine doubles and seven RBI. Perrin recorded multiple hits in four of her past six games, including a pair of four-hit performances. She went 4-for-7 with a double and three RBI in a Little East Conference sweep of Southern Maine on Saturday. For the season, she has played in 19 games, starting 18 of them. Perrin is batting .392 (20-for-51) with 12 runs scored, two doubles and 12 RBI.

 

Head Coach Maria Morinís Anchorwomen are currently ranked No. 23 in the nation. RIC is 18-2 overall and 2-0 (first place) in the Little East.

 

In upcoming action, RIC will resume Little East Conference play with a doubleheader at Keene State on Saturday, April 4.
