Twelve Rhode Island College Student-Athletes Named to
Little East Conference Fall All-Academic Team

 

Providence, RIóThe Little East Conference office recently announced the honorees for the Fall All-Academic teams for the 2008 fall season and 12 Rhode Island College student-athletes were selected.

 

 

 

Student-athletes earned recognition on the all-academic teams based on the following criteria: at least a sophomore academic and athletic standing, and a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.2. The conference office honored student-athletes in the following sports: menís and womenís soccer; womenís volleyball, menís and womenís cross country, womenís tennis and field hockey.

 

 

The following RIC student-athletes were recognized:

 

Menís Cross Country: Senior Hunter Stewart (Foster, RI).

 

Womenís Cross Country: Sophomores Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI), Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) and Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH).

 

Menís Soccer: Junior Ryan Kelley (Hope, RI).

 

Womenís Soccer: Sophomore Alicia Lardaro (Peace Dale, RI).

 

Womenís Tennis: Junior Julie Bannon (Narragansett, RI) and senior Ashley St. Amand (West Warwick, RI).

 

Womenís Volleyball: Junior Sharon Corriveau (Coventry, RI), sophomore Jessica Grant (Warwick, RI), senior Tina Hilton (Woonsocket, RI) and sophomore Erin St. Jacques (Warwick, RI).
