MANGUM LEADS ANCHORWOMEN
AT WESLEYAN INVITATIONAL

New London, CT-The Rhode Island College women's indoor track and field team took part in the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

 

 Freshman Kim Mangum

 

Freshman Kim Mangum (Warwick, RI) placed first in the long jump (5.21 meters) and the triple jump (10.90 meters). She also placed seventh in the 200 meters (28.44) and eighth in the high jump (1.38 meters).

 

 

 Senior Kayla Fleming

 

Senior Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) placed first in the high jump (1.53 meters) and third in the long jump (1.53 meters).

 

Senior Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI) placed second in the weight throw with a distance of 12.53 meters.

 

Junior Stephanie Bucci (Woonsocket, RI) placed fourth in both the weight throw (12.19 meters) and the shot (10.11 meters).

 

Sophomore Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI) placed second in the finals of the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.35, while classmate Jamie Nunes (Lincoln, RI) placed sixth (9.65).

 

Junior Brooke Iby (Dracut, MA) placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 10.18 meters.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the URI Mega Meet on Saturday, Jan. 31.
