LESIEUR & PITKIN LEAD WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS TO SECOND HIGHEST
TEAM SCORE OF THE SEASON

Bridgeport, CT-Freshman Casey Lesieur (Coventry, RI) and sophomore Julie Pitkin (Lee, NH) helped the Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team to post their second highest score of the season in a 190.825-174.100 loss to Div. II Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen posted team scores of 45.325 on vault, 39.700 on bars, 44.100 on beam and 44.975 on floor as their record dips to 1-9 on the season.

 

 

 Freshman Casey Lesieur

 

Lesieur was third overall in the all-around (36.075), seventh on bars (8.450) and sixth on floor (9.475) to lead the Anchorwomen. She was second on the team on vault (9.075) and beam (9.075)

 

 

 Sophomore Julie Pitkin

 

Pitkin led RIC and was sixth on vault (9.225) and fifth on beam (9.275). She was second on the team with a fourth place finish in the all-around (34.850) and also recorded a 9.200 mark on floor.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will close out the regular season next Sunday, Mar. 1 at Wilson.
