LESIEUR HELPS WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS SWEEP SEASON SERIES FROM WILSON

Chambersburg, PA-Rhode Island College freshman Casey Lesieur (Coventry, RI) placed first overall on beam and in the all-around as the Anchorwomen split a tri-meet, hosted by Wilson College on Sunday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 172.875, breaking the 170.000 point barrier for the third consecutive meet. Rhode Island College defeated Wilson (148.275) to take the season series from the Phoenix. West Chester, which defeated the Anchorwomen on Jan. 16, won two with a score of 177.375.

 

 

Freshman Casey Lesieur

 

Lesieur totaled a 35.950 all-around score and a 9.300 mark on beam. She also placed third on bars with a score of 8.750.

 

 

 Sophomore Julie Pitkin

 

Sophomore Julie Pitkin (Lee, NH) placed fifth on vault (9.250) and in the all-around (33.675)

 

Rhode Island College finishes the regular season with a 2-10 overall record and a 2-4 mark vs. ECAC Div. III opposition. 

 

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will compete at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Championships, hosted by Ursinus on Saturday, Mar. 7.
