FLEMING EARNS ALL-ECAC
HONORS IN THE HIGH JUMP
Senior Readies for NCAA Championships

Medford, MA-Senior Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) earned All-ECAC honors with an eighth place,  1.57-meter effort in the high jump at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Div. III Championships, hosted by Tufts University on Saturday afternoon.

 

 

 

She will move on to the NCAA Div. III Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Mar. 13-14. Fleming tied for ninth overall at last year’s NCAA Championship.

 

The Anchorwomen tied for 48th place (50 teams) with 1.0 points. Springfield won the title with a score of 62.

 

In other action, freshman Kim Mangum (Providence, RI) placed 12th in the triple jump (11.05m) and 23rd in the long jump (4.68m). Sophomore Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI) placed 20th in the 55 meter hurdles (9.27).
