2008-09 Rhode Island College
Women’s Indoor Track & Field Summary

Providence, RI—Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team wrapped up the 2008-09 women’s indoor track and field season with one competitor seeing action at the 2009 NCAA Div. III Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships on Mar. 13-14. The Anchorwomen placed 66th (68 teams) with 0.8 points.

 

 

 

 

Jackson was named the Little East Conference Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year.

 

Rhode Island College tied for 48th place (50 teams) with a team score of 1.0 point at the 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Championships on March 6-7 at Tufts University.

 

The Anchorwomen did not score as a team at the 2009 New England Open Championships, hosted by Boston University on Feb. 27–Feb. 28.

 

Rhode Island College finished 14th overall (24 teams) with 13.0 points at the N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Bowdoin on Feb. 20-21.

 

The Anchorwomen placed third overall (11 teams) with 109.0 points and second (six teams) in the Little East Conference with 133.0 points at the 2009 Little East/MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Feb. 14.

 

Senior Hannah Clark (Attleboro, MA) placed 14th in the 800m with a time of 2:49.19 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14.  She placed ninth in the 800m with a time of 2:49.97 at the Cardinal Invitational on Feb. 7. Clark placed 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:54.07 at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. She placed ninth in the 600m with a season-best time of 2:05.12 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. Clark placed second in the 800m with a time of 2:58.04 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. She placed 42nd in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:48.53 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec.13. Clark placed 10th in the mile with a season-best time of 6:47.98 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

As a junior in 2007-08, Clark placed 19th in the 800m with a time of 3:11.54 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 16. She placed 32nd in the 800m with a season-best time of 3:03.12 at the Yale Invitational on Jan. 12. Clark placed 39th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 15:07.13 at the Husky Winter Carnival on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2006-07, Clark placed 13th in the 600m with a time of 2:08.71 and 18th in the 3,000m with a time of 13:31.28 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Clark placed eighth in the 3,000m with a time of 13:34.16 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 27. She placed fifth in the 3,000m with a time of 13:31.53 and seventh in the 600m with a season-best time of 2:08.70 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 20. Clark placed 13th in the 800m with a time of 2:58.53, and 21st in the mile with a time of 6:37.71 at the Tufts Invitational on Jan. 13. She placed 27th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 12:56.45 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 9. She placed 11th in the mile with a season-best time of 6:33.30 at the Brown Invitational on Dec. 2.

 

As a freshman in 2005-06, Clark placed 12th in both the mile and 1,000m with times of 6:31.14 and a season-best mark of 3:43.07, respectively, at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 13. Clark placed 37th in the mile with a time of 6:30.57 at the Tufts Invitational on Feb. 4. She placed seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:48.76 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 28. Clark placed 28th in the mile with a time of 6:27.91 at the Tufts Invitational on Jan. 21. She placed seventh in the 1,000m with a time of 3:59.44 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 14. Clark placed 19th in the mile with a time of 6:30.75 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10. She placed 14th in the 1,000m with a time of 3:43.76 at the Alden Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

Clark is an elementary education major with a concentration in special education and a 2005 graduate of Attleboro High School.

 

Senior Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) was named team MVP, the Little East Conference Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year and earned All-American honors in the high jump, tying for seventh place with a 1.61m effort at the 2009 NCAA Div. III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 13-14. She earned All-ECAC honors with an eighth place, 1.57-meter effort in the high jump at the ECAC Championships on March 7. She placed 11th in the high jump (1.60m) at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 28.  Fleming captured the N.E. Championship in the high jump (1.63m), as well as, placing 12th in the 600m with a time of 1:42.46 and 11th as part of the 4x400m relay with a season-best time of 4:16.72 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors in five events, placing first in both the high jump (1.60m) and in the 600m with a season-best/school record time (1:41.79), second with a season-best time in the 1,000m (3:09.01), sixth in the long jump with a season-best jump (4.92m) and third as part of the 4x400m relay (4:25.69) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14.

 

Fleming placed second in the 600m with a time of 1:42.16, fifth in the long jump (4.69m) and first in the high jump (1.58m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7. She placed fourth in the 1,000m with a time of 3:10.70, sixth in the long jump (4.91m) and tied for second in the high jump (1.61m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Fleming placed first in the high jump with (1.53m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed first in the mile with a season-best time (5:45.27), first in the high jump (1.51m) and second in the long jump (4.78m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.  Fleming placed third in the high jump (1.70m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13th.  She placed third in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:31.68, first in the high jump with a season-best/school record jump of 1.71m and fifth in the long jump (4.64m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

As a junior in 2007-08, Fleming placed ninth in the high jump, one place shy of All-American status, with a 1.61m effort at the 2008 NCAA Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships on Mar. 15. Fleming earned All-ECAC honors in the high jump, placing fourth with a season-best leap of 1.66m at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 8. She placed ninth in the high jump with a leap of 1.65m at the N.E. Open Championships on Mar. 1. Fleming earned All-New England honors in the high jump, placing sixth with a 1.53m effort at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 23. She also placed 13th in the 1,000m with a school-record time of 3:06.06 and placed 12th in the long jump with a 4.69m effort at the same meet. Fleming earned All-Alliance/Little East honors in four events at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 16. She was the Alliance/Little East Champion in the long jump, placing first with a season-best leap of 5.0m. Fleming placed second, and tied the meet record, in the high jump with a 1.65m  effort. She also placed second in the 1,000m with a time of 3:07.58 and as part of the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:17.65. She placed 32nd in the 1,000m with a time of 3:09.29 and 15th in the high jump with a leap of 1.63m at the B.U. Valentine Invitational on Feb. 9. Fleming placed eighth in the 1,000m (3:07.09), third in the high jump (1.6m) and placed 11th in the long jump (4.73m) at the URI Mega Meet on Feb. 2. She placed 10th in the 800m (2:35.27), third in the high jump (1.56m) and fifth in the long jump (4.77m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 26. Fleming placed first in the high jump (1.6m), the long jump (4.61m) and the 1,000m (3:12.41) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 19. She placed ninth in the high jump with a leap of 1.60m and seventh in the 800m a school-record time of 2:28.04 at the Yale Invitational on Jan. 12. Fleming placed 19th in the 800m with a time of 2:29.31 and eighth in the high jump with a leap of 1.55m in the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 8. She placed 20th in the 800m with a time of 2:30.58 and placed 20th in the high jump with a leap of 1.47m at the Husky Winter Carnival on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2006-07, Fleming was named the team’s MVP. She placed 15th in the 1,000m with a time of 3:09.84 at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 3. She placed 22nd in 1,000m with a season-best time of 3:06.61 at the New England Open Championships on Feb. 24. Fleming placed 13th in the 1,000m with a time of 3:06.61 and 11th in the high jump with a season-best leap of 1.48 meters at the N.E. Div. III Championships at University of Southern Maine on Feb. 17. She earned All-Alliance/Little East honors in the 1,00m, placing first with a time of 3:12.58, as well as the high jump, placing fourth with a leap of 1.54m at the Championships on Feb. 10. Fleming placed fourth in the 1,000m with a time of 3:08.06, and third in the high jump with a jump of 1.55m at the URI Mega Meet on Feb. 3. She placed third in the high jump with a leap of 1.53m and third in the 800m with a school-record time of 2:28.41 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 27. Fleming placed first in the high jump with a jump of 1.55m at the Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational on Jan. 20. She placed sixth in the 1,000m with a time of 3:11.98 and 10th in the high jump with a jump of 1.42m at the Tufts Invitational on Jan. 13. Fleming placed 15th in the 800m with a time of 2:29.16 at Harvard Invitational on Dec. 9. She placed ninth in the 1,000m with a time of 3:11.04 at the Brown Invitational on Dec. 2.

 

Prior to coming to RIC, she attended the University of Hartford in 2005-06. Fleming is an elementary education major with a concentration in special education and a 2005 graduate of Tolman High School.

 

Senior Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI) placed 12th in the weight throw (13.18m) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors with a second place finish in the weight throw with a season-best throw of 13.44m at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Horsman placed second in the weight throw (12.74m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7. She placed second in the weight (12.53m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan.24. Horsman placed first in the weight throw (12.84m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. She placed seventh in the weight throw (12.10m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. Horsman placed fifth in the weight throw (12.10m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6th.

 

As a junior in 2007-08, Horsman placed 27th in the weight throw with a season-best distance of 12.49m at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 8. She placed ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 12.77m at the N.E. Open Championships on Mar. 1. Horsman was the N.E. Alliance Champion in the weight throw, placing first with a distance of 13.02m at the Alliance Championship on Feb. 16. She placed 47th in the weight throw with a toss of 11.40m at the B.U. Valentine Invitational on Feb. 9. Horsman placed 11th in the weight throw with a distance of 12.07m at the URI Mega Meet on Feb. 2. She placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 12.22m at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 26. Horsman placed first in the weight throw with a distance of 12.64m at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 19. She placed 13th in the weight throw with a toss of 11.71m at the Yale Invitational on Jan. 12. Horsman placed sixth in the weight throw with a 12.36m effort at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 8.  She placed 18th in the weight throw with a toss of 10.38m at the Husky Winter Carnival on Dec. 1.

 

As a sophomore in 2006-07, Horsman placed third in the weight throw with a throw of 12.98m at the URI Mega Meet on Feb. 3. Horsman placed second in the weight throw with a season-best throw of 13.10m at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 27. She placed third in the weight throw with a throw of 12.96m at the Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational on Jan. 20. Horsman placed third in the weight throw with a throw of 12.54m at the Tufts Indoor Invitational on Jan. 13. She placed 10th in the weight throw with a throw of 11.65m at the Brown Invitational on Dec. 2.

 

As a freshman in 2005-06, Horsman earned N.E. Alliance honors in the weight throw, placing third with a distance of 11.74m at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 13. She placed 11th in the weight throw with a distance of 11.41m at the Tufts Invitational on Feb. 4. Horsman placed seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 11.91m at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 28. She placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 11.10m at the Tufts Invitational on Jan. 21. Horsman placed eighth in the shot and fifth in the weight throw with distances of 5.86m and 11.99m, respectively, at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 14. She placed 14th in the weight throw with a distance of 11.85m at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10.

 

Horsman is a nursing major with a minor in psychology and a 2005 graduate of Barrington High School.

 

Junior Stephanie Bucci (Smithfield, RI) placed 18th in the shot (10.44m) and placed 10th in the weight throw with a season-best throw of 13.34m at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors, placing fourth in the shot with a season-best throw (10.72m) and third in the weight throw (13.20m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Bucci placed fifth in the weight throw (11.92m) and placed fourth in the shot put (10.26m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7. She placed eighth in the weight throw (12.15m) and sixth in the shot put (10.31m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Bucci placed fourth in the weight throw (12.19m) and fourth in the shot (10.11m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed first in the shot (10.34m) and second the weight throw (12.37m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Bucci placed fifth in the shot (10.20m) and sixth in the weight throw (12.15m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed fourth in the shot (10.48m) and 12th in the weight throw (10.49m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec.6.

 

Junior Ashley Guimond (Sterling, CT) placed third in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 22:29.08 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Junior Brooke Iby (Dracut, MA) placed 24th in the 400m (1:04.31), ninth in the triple jump (10.64m) and 11th in the 4x400m relay at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors, placing fourth in the triple jump with a season-best jump (10.65m) and the 400m with a season-best time (1:03.19), third as part of the 4x200m relay with a season-best time (1:53.15) and third as part of the 4x400m relay with a season-best time (4:25.69) as well as placing 12th in the 55m with a season-best time (7.94) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Iby placed sixth in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:54.50 and third in the triple jump (10.22m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7.  She placed fifth in the 400m with a time of 1:04.43 and seventh in the triple jump (10.25m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Iby placed sixth in the 600m with a time of 1:55.69 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24.  She placed first in the 55m with a time of 8.12, fifth in the 400m with a time of 1:06.12 and second in the triple jump (9.81m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Iby placed 16th in the triple jump (9.70m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13.  She placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:05.67 and sixth in the triple jump (9.91m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Sophomore Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 11th in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:40.53 and 12th in the 3,000m with a time of 12:17.93 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14.  She placed fifth in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 12:00.69 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7.  Desrosiers placed 15th in the mile with a season-best time of 5:55.97 at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. She placed ninth in the 3,000m with a time of 12:17.85 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. Desrosiers placed third in the 1,000m with a season-best time of 3:36.47 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. She placed 22nd in the mile with a time of 6:09.10 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. Desrosiers placed third in the 1,000m with a time of 3:41.79 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Sophomore Kayla Diblasi (Smithfield, RI) placed 20th in the 55m hurdles with a season-best time of 9.27 in the ECAC Championships on March 6. She placed 27th in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.35 in the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 28.  Diblasi placed 14th in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.36 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors, placing third in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.29, fifth in the 400m with a season-best time (1:03.70), third as part of the 4x200m relay with a season-best time (1:53.15) and third as part of the 4x400m relay with a season-best time (4:25.69), as well as placing 14th in the 200m with a time of 29.16 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Diblasi placed third in the 55m hurdles (9.49) and seventh in the 400m (1:03.91) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7. She placed fifth in the 55m hurdles (9.52) and 13th in the 200m with a season-best time (28.80) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Diblasi placed second in the 55m hurdles (9.35) and 11th in the 200m (28.92) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed fourth in the 400m (1:05.88) and first in the 55m hurdles (9.56) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.  Diblasi placed second in the 55m hurdles (9.45) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Sophomore Denise McCann (West Greenwich, RI) placed 25th in the 55m with a season-best time (8.28) and placed 21st in the 200m with a season-best time (29.82) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed 25th in the 200m (30.76) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. McCann placed 33rd in the 200m (30.77) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed sixth in the 55m (8.54) and ninth in the 200m (31.25) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.

 

Sophomore Caitlin Murphy (Rehoboth, MA) placed ninth in the 800m with a season-best time (2.49.42) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. She placed third in the 600m with a season-best time (2:07.96) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.

 

Sophomore Jamie Nunes (Lincoln, RI) placed 11th in the 55m hurdles with a season-best time (9.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on February 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors, placing fourth in the 55m hurdles with a season-best time (9.31) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Nunes placed sixth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.65 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed eighth in the 200m with a season-best time of 31.10 and second in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.59 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Nunes placed 24th in the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 10.64 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed third in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.49 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Sophomore Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 13th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 12:20.20 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed 33rd in the mile with a season-best time of 6:24.10 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24.  Poirier placed fourth in the 3,000m with a time of 13:32.43 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. She placed 17th in the 3,000m with a time of 12:35.37 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. Poirier placed eighth in the 3,000m with a time of 12:55.34 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Jaira Adams (East Providence, RI) placed 15th in the 200m with a season-best time of 29.20 and 20th in the long jump (4.18m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed second in the 55m with a season-best time of 8.18, third in the 200m with a time of 29.93 and fifth in the long jump with a season-best jump of 4.35m at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Adams placed 40th in the 200m with a time of 29.35 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed 16th in the 400m with a time of 1:28.57 and 11th in the long jump (4.28m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Alicia Cullinan (Pawtucket, RI) placed 64th in the 200m with a time of 33.59 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13.  She placed 16th in the 200m with a season-best time of 33.44 and 15th in the 55m hurdles with a time of 11.15 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Nicole Gelinas (Dayville, CT) placed 20th in the 55m with a season-best time of 8.13 and 15th in the 200m with a season-best time of 29.31 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed 22nd in the 200m with a time of 30.19 at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Gelinas placed 37th in the 200m with a time of 30.95 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed fifth in the 55m with a time of 8.32 and fifth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 10.55 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.  Gelinas placed 55th in the 200m with a time of 30.32 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13.  She placed 13th in the 200m with a time of 31.05 and eighth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 10.97 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Molly Gouveia (Warwick, RI) placed 30th in the shot (8.01m) and 16th in the weight throw (10.84m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed 11th in the weight throw (10.02m) and 11th in the shot with a season-best throw of 8.83m at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Gouveia placed ninth in the weight throw (10.68m) and 20th in the shot (8.31m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed fourth in the shot (8.79m) and third in the weight throw (10.58m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Gouveia placed sixth in the weight throw (10.22m) and 15th in the shot (8.50m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed 15th in the shot (8.80m) and sixth in the weight throw with a season-best throw of 11.02m at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Alexzandra Hays (Chepachet, RI) placed 14th in the shot (9.60m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed sixth in the shot (9.51m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7. Hays placed eighth in the shot (10.18m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. She placed eighth in the shot (9.55m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24.  Hays placed fourth in the shot with a season-best throw of 10.25m at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed ninth in the shot (9.76m) and 14th in the weight throw with a season-best throw of 9.56m at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Jessica Lane (Clinton, CT) earned N.E. Alliance honors with a third place finish as part of the 4x200m relay with a season-best time of 1:53.15 as well as placing 15th in the long jump (4.53m) and 12th in the triple jump (9.55m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed 10th in the long jump (4.45m) and eighth in the triple jump (9.61m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. Lane placed 17th in the long jump (4.28m) and ninth in the triple jump (9.19m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. She placed sixth in the 200m with a season-best time of 31.08, fourth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 9.94, third in the long jump with a season-best jump of 4.69m and third in the triple jump (9.72m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17. Lane placed 17th in the triple jump (9.69m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13. She placed sixth in the 55m hurdles with a season-best time of 9.81, sixth in the long jump (4.52m) and fourth in the triple jump with a season-best jump (9.95m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Kimberly Mangum (Warwick, RI) was named the Little East Conference Co-Rookie Field Athlete of the Year. She placed 23rd in the long jump (4.68m) and 12th in the triple jump with a season-best/school record jump of 11.05 meters at the ECAC Championships on March 7. She placed 21st in the long jump (4.70m) and 16th in the triple jump (10.64m) at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 28. Mangum earned All-New England honors in the triple jump, placing sixth with a season-best/school record jump of 11.05m, as well as, placing 23rd in the long jump (4.63m), 11th as part of the 4x400m relay with a season-best time of 4:16.72 and 13th as part of the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:53.98 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20-21. She earned N.E. Alliance honors, placing first in the long jump (5.11m), second in the triple jump (10.95m), third as part of the 4x200m relay with a season-best time (1:53.15) and third as part of the 4x400m relay (4:25.69), as well as, placing 10th in the high jump (1.40m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. Mangum placed 14th in the 200m with a time of 29.10, third in the long jump (4.95m) and third in the triple jump (10.98m) at the URI Invitational on Jan. 31. She placed seventh in the 200m with a season-best time (28.44), first in the long jump with a season-best jump (5.21m), first in the triple jump (10.90m) and eighth in the high jump (1.38m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24. Mangum placed first in the 200m with a time of 29.01, third in the 55m hurdles with a season-best time (9.85), second in the high jump with a season-best jump (1.46m), first in the long jump (4.94m) and first in the triple jump (10.54m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan.17. She placed fifth in the triple jump (10.70m) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec.13. Mangum placed fourth in the long jump (4.86m) and second in the triple jump (10.63m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Merylda Nogueira (Pawtucket, RI) placed 22nd in the long jump (4.07m) and 18th in the triple jump with a season-best jump (8.96m) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 14. She placed eighth in the long jump with a season-best jump (4.36m) and eighth in the triple jump (8.91m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Feb. 7.  Nogueira placed 11th in the triple jump (8.69m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 24.  She placed seventh in the long jump (4.10m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 17.  Nogueira placed 13th in the long jump (4.09m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 6.

 

Freshman Jacqueline Towle (Swanzey, NH) placed 20th in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:28.15 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 13.  She placed second in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:43.27 at the Springfield Invitational on December 6.
