COLAGIOVANNI TABBED ASSISTANT WOMENíS SOCCER COACH AT RIC

Providence, RIóRhode Island College has named Crystal Colagiovanni as its assistant womenís soccer coach. She will assist Head Coach Mike Koperda with all phases of the RIC womenís soccer program including, recruiting, scouting, administering practice and game coaching. Colagiovanni has served as RICís assistant womenís lacrosse coach since 2007.

 

 

 

She has extensive soccer experience, serving as a Soccer Saves Kids consultant. Colagiovanni has also worked with Koperda at RIC's summer soccer camps and has been a volunteer for the Johnston (RI) Recreation Department youth soccer programs. She has also played in the Providence school district.

 

During her four-year career in womenís lacrosse at RIC, Colagiovanni played in 56 games, starting 54 of them. She had 68 goals and 12 assists for 80 career points. Colagiovanni compiled 196 shots, 176 ground balls, 59 draw controls and 41 caused turnovers in her career. She is among RICís all-time leaders in shots, goals, assists, points, ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers.

 

She graduated from Rhode Island College in December, 2006 with a bachelorís degree in elementary education with a concentration in special education.

 

Colagiovanni is currently a first grade teacher in the Providence Diocese. She is single and resides in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
