SARAH JOHNSON NAMED ASSISTANT
WOMENíS VOLLEYBALL COACH AT RIC

Providence, RIóRhode Island College has named Sarah Johnson as its assistant womenís volleyball coach. She will assist Head Coach Luis Carvalho with all phases of the RIC volleyball program including recruiting, scouting, administering practice and game coaching.

 

 

 

Johnson has a wealth of volleyball experience. She was a two-time All-State selection as a middle hitter while at East Providence High School. Johnson earned multiple MVP, All-Class and All-Division honors during her high school career.

 

She has competed at two USA National Volleyball Championships as part of the Yankee Volleyball Association. Johnsonís team won the Gold Medal at the 2009 National Tournament held in Minneapolis, Minn.

 

She has worked the summer camp circuit extensively as a coach at various clinics.

 

Johnson earned a bachelorís degree in studio art with a concentration in graphic design from Rhode Island College in 2006. She minored in communications.

 

In addition to her coaching duties, Johnson is a freelance graphic designer.

 

She is single and resides in East Providence.
