CORRIVEAU
NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM WHILE ANCHORWOMEN GO 2-2
|

|
Waltham, MA—Senior outside hitter Sharon Corriveau (Coventry,
RI) was named to the All-Tournament Team as the Rhode Island
College women's volleyball team went 2-2 at the Brandeis
Invitational on Sept. 11-12. |
|
|
|
|
|
Corriveau played in 12 games
in four matches, totaling 18 kills, a .172 hitting percentage, five
assists, five service aces, 25 digs and seven blocks. |

|
RIC (6-5) opened with a 3-0
(14-25, 12-25, 20-25) loss to Brandeis (6-1) on Friday evening.
Freshman outside hitter Breanna Boyer (West Greenwich, RI)
led the Anchorwomen with six kills and chipped in with six digs.
Corriveau led the squad with eight digs and contributed three
winners. |

The Anchorwomen fell to
Williams (2-0), 3-0 (10-25, 13-25, 16-25), on Friday as well.
Corriveau paced the attack with seven kills and nine digs, while
junior outside hitter Tess Heidel (Warwick, RI) notched five
winners. |

|
RIC broke a five-match
losing streak with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-21) victory over Gordon
(1-8) to open Saturday's competition. Boyer led the way with 11
kills, freshman setter Jessica Ho (Providence, RI) handed out
19 assists and junior opposite April Oberhelman (Woonsocket, RI)
made eight digs. |

Rhode Island College closed
out the tourney with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-18) shutout over
Wentworth (2-6). Oberhelman and Boyer paced the offense with
eight and seven kills, respectively, while Boyer (7) and Corriveau
(6) led in digs. |
|
|
|
In upcoming action, Rhode
Island College will host Western New England on Tuesday, April 15. |
