MACEDO PACES RIC HARRIERS AT

SEASON-OPENING MEET

North Dartmouth, MAóJunior Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) was RICís top runner at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in menís cross country action on Saturday afternoon. The Anchormen placed 20th (37 teams) with a score of 536. Keene State won the meet with a score of 68.0.

Macedo placed 76th with a time of 26:38. Freshman Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 115th with a time of 27:29. Freshman Dionis Camacho (Providence, RI) placed 119th with a time of 27:32.

 

Freshman Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 138th with a time of 27:52. Sophomore Kyle Mann (West Warwick, RI) placed 148th with a time of 28:18. Freshman Austin Pena (West Warwick, RI) placed 171st with a time of 28:49. Sophomore Ethan Leary (Newport, RI) placed 190th with a time of 29:19.

 

Freshman Conor Breagy (Exeter, RI) led the Anchormen in the sub-varsity race, placing 131st with a time of 30:19. Freshman Richard McPhillips (Central Falls, RI) placed 141st with a time of 30:37. Freshman Kurt Decker (Bristol, RI) placed 195th with a time of 33:36.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Cod Fish Bowl, held at Franklin Park in Boston on Saturday, Sept. 26.
