Providence, RI—Andy Crisafulli has returned to Rhode Island College for his second stint as an assistant baseball coach.

“I am excited to return as an assistant baseball coach at Rhode Island College,” Crisafulli said. “I look forward to working with Coach Virgulak and Coach Bergeron in a coordinated effort to continue building the baseball program.

Crisafulli held the position of pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Anchormen from 2004-08 under previous Head Coach Jay Grenier. He will resume the position of pitching coach and assist Head Coach Scott Virgulak with recruiting, scouting, administering practices and game coaching.

Prior to joining the RIC staff in 2004, Crisafulli was the head coach of the Swansea (MA) American Legion and the Bay States Games’ Western Massachusetts squad.

A native of Swansea and a graduate of Joseph Case High School, Crisafulli went on to accept a baseball scholarship to Quinnipiac University, where as a freshman in 1996 was named the Northeast 10’s Pitcher of the Week on two occasions.

A shoulder injury forced him to miss the entire 1997 season before transferring to Bridgewater State for his final years of eligibility. At BSC, Crisafulli guided the Bears to a pair of MASCAC titles and pitched in two NCAA Div. III New England Regional Championships.

Crisafulli resides in Fall River, Massachusetts with his wife Sylienne and their children Gwenyth and Carson.
