FROM SHUTOUT LOSS

Julie Bannon's (Narragansett, RI) win at No. 1 singles
was the only bright spot in the Rhode Island College women's tennis
team's, 8-1, loss to Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon. |

The Cardinals stay unbeaten
with a 2-0 record, while the Anchorwomen drop to 5-3. Bannon won the
first set, 7-6 (7-4), dropped the second, 6-3, then bounced back
with a 10-6 win in the final frame. |

a three-match sweep in doubles and then took the No. 2 through No. 6
singles matches in straight sets |
