JENSEN EARNS MEDALIST HONORS AS
RIC PLACES FIRST AT JOHNSON & WALES

 

Cranston, RIóJunior Derek Jensen (Cumberland, RI) finished first, with a 74, among a field of 14 golfers as the Rhode Island College menís golf team had the low team score of 306 at a tri-match played at Cranston Country Club (par 71) on Friday afternoon.

The Anchormen, who totaled a score of 306, finished 42 strokes ahead of Johnson & Wales (348) and 66 strokes better than Emmanuel (372).

 

 

 

Junior Chad Lareau (North Attleboro, MA) was one stroke behind Jensen for second overall, while junior Bryan Picinisco (Dartmouth, MA) finished third at 77.

 

 

 

Senior Barrett Kern (Pawtucket, RI) shot an 80, while freshman Kyle Harper (Rehoboth, MA) fired an 84 to round out the RIC contingent.

 

 

 

TEAM SCORES: 1. Rhode Island College 306; 2. Johnson & Wales, 348; 3. Emmanuel, 372.
