ANCHORWOMEN PLACE 10th AT
JAMES EARLEY INVITATIONAL

Westfield, MA—Junior Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 17th out of a field of 266 runners as the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team placed 10th (25 teams) at the 14th annual James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday afternoon. The Anchorwomen totaled a team score of 276. Southern Maine won the meet with a score of 58.

Desrosiers logged a team-best time of 20:28.62. Sophomore Brittany Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 28th with a time of 20:49.70.

 

Junior Jamie Nunes (Lincoln. RI) placed 62nd with a time of 21:56.79. Junior Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 92nd with a time of 22:42.92. Junior Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 99th with a time 22:51.48. Junior captain Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 106th with a time of 23:01.03. Sophomore Justyna Barlow (Foster, RI) placed 148th with a time of 24:03.14.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 17.
