JENSEN TIES FOR SECOND AS
MEN'S GOLF PLACES THIRD AT MITCHELL QUAD

 

Groten, CTóJunior Derek Jensen (Cumberland, RI) tied for second overall with an 80 as the Rhode Island College men's golf team placed third (four teams) at the Mitchell College Quad played at Shennecossett Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon.

 

 

 

The Anchormen totaled a team score of 336, finishing five strokes behind first place Anna Maria and four strokes off of second place Nichols College's pace. The hosts came in fourth with a score of 350.

Jensen was the lone regular competing from Head Coach Greg Gammell's normal starting lineup. Freshman Joseph Quinn (Dedham, MA) tied for seventh (84). Freshman Justin Coffey (Hopedale, MA) and junior Steve Zahn (West Warwick, RI) tied for 10th (86). Freshman Brian Fitzgerald (Mansfield, MA) placed 19th (95).
