McCLOSKEY LEADS RIC MENíS CROSS COUNTRY TO SIXTH PLACE FINISH AT ALLIANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Keene, NH- Freshman Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 29th (155 runners) to lead the Rhode Island College menís cross country team to a sixth place (12 teams) finish at the New England Alliance Championships on Saturday afternoon.

The Anchormen totaled a scored of 166 in the Alliance (Little East & MASCAC), while placing fourth (six teams) with a score of 112 among Little East Conference institutions. Southern Maine won both the Alliance and LEC Championships with scores of 27.

 

McCloskey placed 29th with a time of 28:11. Junior captain Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 31st with a time of 28:20.

 

Freshman Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 38th with a time of 28:28. Sophomore Kyle Mann (West Warwick, RI) placed 42nd with a time of 28:35. Freshman Dionis Camacho (Providence, RI) placed 52nd with a time of 28:54.

 

Freshman Matt Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 57th with a time of 29:06.  Freshman Kevin Carey (Wakefield, RI) placed 71st with a time of 29:35. Freshman Austin Pena (West Warwick, RI) placed 76th with a time of 29:47. Sophomore Ethan Leary (Newport, RI) placed 90th with a time of 30:36.

 

Junior Chris Allegretta (Warwick, RI) placed 123rd with a time of 32:19. Freshman Richard McPhillips (Central Falls, RI) placed 138th with a time of 33:37.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the ECAC Div. III Championships, hosted by Williams on Saturday, Nov. 7.
