ANCHORWOMEN PLACE 16TH
AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Williamstown, MA—Junior Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 36th (275 runners), to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a 16th place (39 teams) finish at the 2009 ECAC N.E. Div. III Championships on Saturday afternoon at Mt. Greylock Regional High School. The Anchorwomen totaled a team score of 508.0. Middlebury won the championship with a score of 37.0.

Desrosiers posted a time of 25:25.8. Sophomore Brittany Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 42nd with a time of 25:34.0

 

 Junior Jamie Nunes (Lincoln, RI) placed 118th with a time of 27:06.6. Junior captain Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 161st with a time of 27:57.5.

 

Junior Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 172nd with a time of 28:18.1.  Junior Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 188th with a time 28:36.6. Sophomore Justyna Barlow (Foster, RI) placed 216th with a time of 29:26.1.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Nov. 14.
