MACEDO LEADS RIC MENíS CROSS COUNTRY TO 12TH PLACE FINISH
AT ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Williamstown, MA-Freshman Matt Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 50th (296 runners) to lead the Rhode Island College menís cross country team to a 12th place (43 teams) finish at the ECAC N.E. Div. III Championships on Saturday afternoon at Mt. Greylock High School. The Anchormen totaled a team score of 371. The host institution, Williams, won the championship with a score of 85.0.

 

 

Freshman Matt Macedo

 

Macedo was the Anchormen's top runner with a time of 28:12.7. Freshman Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 51st with a time of 28:14.0.

 

  Freshman Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 90th with a time of 28:57.8. Sophomore Kyle Mann (West Warwick, RI) placed 92nd with a time of 29:00.9. Freshman Kevin Carey (Wakefield, RI) placed 95th with a time of 29:08.1.

 

Junior captain Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 104th with a time of 29:19.0. Freshman Austin Pena (West Warwick, RI) placed 172nd with a time of 30:29.9.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Nov. 14.
