ANCHORWOMEN PLACE 30TH
AT NCAA N.E. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Cumberland, MEJunior Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 102nd (315 runners), to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a 30th place (47 teams) finish at the 2009 NCAA N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon at the Twin Brooks Recreational Center. The Anchorwomen totaled a team score of 886.0. MIT won the championship with a score of 63.0.

 

 Junior Katie Desrosiers

 

Desrosiers posted a time of 24:30.8. Sophomore Brittany Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 109th with a time of 24:37.1.

 

 Junior Jamie Nunes (Lincoln, RI) placed 217th with a time of 26:43.7. Junior Heather Feeney (Warwick, RI) placed 225th with a time 26:53.2.

 

Junior Lindsey Brisson (Coventry, RI) placed 241st with a time of 27:16.8.   Junior captain Nicole Poirier (Concord, NH) placed 259th with a time of 27:37.1.
