BERARD HURLS PERFECT GAME AS RIC
TAKES TWINBILL FROM PANTHERS

Providence, RI-Junior pitcher Amanda Berard (Swansea, MA) set down all 15 Panthers she faced as Rhode Island College defeated Plymouth State, 12-0, in game one of a doubleheader sweep in Little East Conference softball action at D & M Park.

The Anchorwomen (22-7, 6-2) came back with a 10-2 win in game two to complete the sweep. Both contests were ended in the fifth inning due to the eight run rule. RIC pitching saw a 26-inning scoreless streak come to an end in the first inning of game two. Rhode Island College's current win streak increased to seven games as the club has now won 11 of its last 12 contests. The Panthers (11-16, 3-5) see their current losing streak raised to four games and five of their last six.
