WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES THIRD
AT BROWN TRI-MEET

 

Providence, RIóThe Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team placed third (three teams) at a tri-meet hosted by Brown University on Sunday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Bridgeport won the meet (191.050) and Brown was second (187.275). RIC totaled a 169.700 team score-the Anchorwomen's highest point total of the season.

 

 

 

 

 

 Sophomore Courtney Winsor

 

 

 

Sophomore Courtney Winsor (West Greenwich, RI) paced the Anchorwomen on vault (9.200), finishing 11th overall, and was tied with classmate Jessica Greenwald (Union, NJ) for 13th on bars (8.150).

 

 

 

Greenwald also posted the squad's top all-around total (34.600) with a fifth place finish. Senior Liz Glunt (Altoona, PA) led on beam (8.825) with an 11th place tie, while sophomore Sarah Chrane (Rochester, NH) was 12th on floor (9.125).

 

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will face Bridgeport again, along with Ithaca and Yale, at Southern Connecticut on Saturday, Feb. 6.
