N'TOW & MACEDO EARN N.E. ALLIANCE HONORS AS ANCHORMEN PLACE NINTH

 

Gorham, MERhode Island College freshmen George N'Tow (Providence, RI) and Matt Macedo (North Scituate, RI) earned New England All-Alliance honors as the men's indoor track & field team competed at the N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon.

 

 

 

RIC placed ninth (11 teams) in the Alliance, comprised of Little East and MASCAC institutions, with a score of 20.0. The Anchormen placed fifth (six teams) in the Little East with a score of 28. Southern Maine won both the Alliance and league titles.

 

 

 

N'Tow placed third in the 400m (51.34), while Macedo also took third in the 800m (2:01.37).

 

 

In upcoming action, qualifying members of the team will compete at the N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Bates on Saturday, Feb. 20.
