Womenís Gymnastics Summary

 

Providence, RIóFirst-year Head Coach Tristan Poirier (Career record: 1-4, .200) team finished the 2009-10 season with a 1-4 overall record. RIC was 1-2 against Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III competition.

 

 

 

The Anchorwomen closed out the season with a seventh place (seven teams) finish, totaling a team score of 154.750, at the ECAC Div. III Championships, hosted by SUNY Brockport on Mar. 13.

 

Senior Liz Glunt (Altoona, PA) wrapped up her four-year career as an Anchorwoman.

 

As a senior in 2009-10, Glunt averaged scores of 8.782 on vault, 7.819 on bars, 8.671 on beam, 8.889 on floor and 34.164 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks with a 9.050 on vault, 8.275 on bars and 35.100 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on March 13, 9.300 on beam vs. Wilson on Feb. 14 and a 9.275 on floor at Springfield on March 7.

 

As a junior in 2008-09, Glunt averaged scores of 8.480 on vault, 7.569 on bars, 8.646 on beam, 8.885 on floor and 33.975 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 8.925 on vault, 8.325 on bars, 9.250 on beam and 35.650 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 7, as well as, a 9.525 mark on floor vs. Wilson on Feb. 14.

 

As a sophomore in 2007-08, Glunt averaged scores of 8.715 on vault, 8.005 on bars, 8.363 on beam, 8.753 on floor and 33.835 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 9.025 on vault and 9.350 on floor vs. Southern Connecticut/Ithaca on Feb 24, 8.450 on bars vs. Wilson on Mar. 9 and a 9.150 on beam and 35.350 in the all-around vs. MIT on Feb. 16.

 

As a freshman in 2006-07, Glunt was named the teamís MVP. She averaged scores of 8.869 on vault, 7.586 on bars, 8.758 on beam, 8.606 on floor and 33.931 in the all-around. Glunt logged season-high scores of 9.100 on vault, 9.175 on floor and 35.450 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 10, 9.300 on beam vs. M.I.T. on Feb. 17 and 8.325 on bars against Wilson on Mar. 4.

 

She is a nursing major and a 2006 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School.

 

Senior captain Kelly Longo (Pembroke, MA) wrapped up her four-year career as an Anchorwoman and was named the teamís MVP.

 

As a senior in 2009-10, Longo averaged scores of 8.409 on vault, 6.450 on bars, 8.453 on beam, 8.147 on floor and 31.300 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks with an 8.725 on vault at Springfield on March 7, 6.450 on bars and 31.300 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on March 13, 8.900 on beam at West Chester on Feb. 20 and 8.400 on floor vs. West Chester on Jan. 15.

 

As a junior in 2008-09, Longo averaged a score of 8.117 on beam. She registered a season-high mark of 8.750 on beam vs. Springfield/Southern Connecticut on Jan. 24.

 

As a sophomore in 2007-08, Longo averaged scores of 8.515 on vault, 7.233 on bars, 7.903 on beam, 8.433 on floor and 32.558 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 8.950 on vault, 8.900 on beam and a 33.675 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 15, a 7.300 on bars vs. Wilson on Feb. 23 and Mar. 9, and a 8.575 twice on floor vs. Southern Connecticut/Ithaca on Feb. 24, and again at the ECAC Championships.

 

As a freshman in 2006-07, Longo averaged scores of 8.208 on vault, 6.825 on bars and 7.000 on beam. She recorded season-high marks of 8.600 on vault at the RIC quad-meet on Jan. 20, 7.300 on bars at the ECAC Championships on Mar. 10 and 7.000 on beam at the Brockport tri-meet on Jan. 13.

 

She is a nursing major and a 2006 graduate of Pembroke High School.

 

Sophomore Sarah Chrane (Rochester, NY) averaged scores of 8.450 on vault, 6.836 on bars, 7.875 on beam, 8.728 on floor and 32.450 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 8.700 on vault, 8.225 on beam, 9.150 on floor and 33.075 in the all-around at the ECAC Championships on March 13 and a 7.350 on bars at Springfield on March 7.

 

Sophomore Angela Gargano (Stanhope, NJ) averaged scores of 8.588 on vault and 7.738 on bars. She posted season-high marks of 8.725 on vault and an 8.225 on bars vs. Springfield on Jan. 10. Gargano was injured after the second meet of the season and missed the remainder of the campaign.

 

Sophomore Alana Henderson (Alexandria, VA) averaged scores of 8.888 on vault, 7.532 on bars, 7.813 on beam, 8.600 on floor and 34.600 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 9.125 on vault at West Chester on Feb. 20, 8.150 on bars, 8.400 on beam and 34.600 in the all-around at Springfield on March 7 and 9.150 on floor at the ECAC Championships on March 13. She also had an 8.400 on beam vs. Springfield on Jan. 10.

 

Sophomore Courtney Winsor (West Greenwich, RI) averaged scores of 9.061 on vault, 7.839 on bars, 7.900 on beam, 8.150 on floor and 33.242 in the all-around. She posted season-high marks of 9.225 on vault at the ECAC Championships on March 13, 8.400 on bars at Springfield on March 7, 8.450 on beam at Southern Connecticut State on Feb. 6 and an 8.600 mark on floor and a 33.950 mark in the all-around vs. West Chester on Jan. 15.
