Clark Picks Up First Anchormen Shutout

It was the first shutout of the season for RIC (3-2) and the first for Clark in an Anchorman uniform. The Eagles (0-2) suffered their second loss of the 2010 campaign.

Carvalho collected a ball that dropped into Husson's goal box off a Rhode Island College set piece started by junior midfielder Hector Espildora Fortuno (Malaga, Spain).  He collected the ball in the crowded box and buried it into back of the Husson net for his second goal of the year.

Through the first half, Rhode Island outshot the Eagles, 7-3. The second half would feature six Rhode Island shots to just one Husson shot. Despite the disparity, the game remained scoreless until there were 12 minutes remaining in the game and the Anchormen tallied.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will open Little East Conference play at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Sept. 18.
